The exhibition "Traces and Fates" consists of two separate parts. The first one, "Destinies of the Disappeared / The Holocaust of the Jews of Pilsen" presents on 17 portable roll-ups the life stories of selected persons. The escalating Nazi persecution of Jewish population in the then Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia, leading to their almost complete liquidation, is vividly illustrated by historical visual and written documents, photos, correspondence, drawings made by children in the Theresienstadt ghetto, transport documents and other materials. All exhibits are accompanied by explanatory texts. The other part of the exhibition, "Traces of the Holocaust", presents pictures from a large collection of classical silver-bromide-based photographs made in places where Jews from Pilsen ended up after their deportation from Theresienstadt and where a vast majority of them died.
Both parts of the exhibition were created by Radovan Kodera.
The collection "The Destinies of the Disappeared / The Holocaust of the Jews of Pilsen" has been loaned by the Jewish Community Pilsen.
