Since 1986, the Marzee International Graduate Show has offered the best new graduates their first opportunity to exhibit in a world-renowned gallery which is also one of the largest galleries in the Netherlands and the largest gallery of contemporary art jewellery in the world.
Tereza Jurusová participates in the exhibition with a necklace she had created as part of her thesis entitled "Cherchez la femme". She has designed the piece of jewellery under the guidance of the associate professor Peter Vogel. "It is a set of eight different necklaces which represent various attributes of womanhood. I tried to work with materials and colours that correspond with the theme of my thesis. I chose pink and white pearls, copper, gold plating and the natural oxidation of the material. At the same time this thesis makes reference to my previous work," says the author.

The diploma thesis written by Eva Hegedüsová, whose work is also on display at the Marzee Gallery, is based on the famous quote by Pablo Picasso: "We all know that art is not truth. Art is a lie that makes us realize truth at least the truth that is given us to understand." Her work titles "VICE VERSA", which makes reference to the charming game of being able "to convince others of the truthfulness of our lies." In her work, the author experiments with hydrophilic porous PVA material. Thanks to a different way of working with this material, the created objects are unique and visually interesting.
The 32nd Marzee International Graduation Show and Ravary 2018 are on display until October 31, 2018.
