The Arts Council of the Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art has chosen this year´s laureates from a number of nominations from the professional public. It was not an easy decision as there were many interesting candidates among the nominees.
The prestigeous prize will be awarded to three outstanding artists and two institutions on 3 November 2014 at the ceremonial hall of the Pilsen City Hall:

An international symposium DesignMeeting will follow on Tuesday 4 November 2014. It will feature lectures presented by the Ladislav Sutnar Prize laureates.
The Ladislav Sutnar Prize is awarded to living Czech and international artists for outstanding performance in the field of fine arts, especially applied arts and design, possibly also in connection with pedagogical work of the nominees. It can be also awarded to institutions that support modern art and design through their program and activities. The prize has already been awarded to the Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum and to several outstanding individual artists from the Czech Republic, Germany and Hungary.
